Based on Hutch Carpenter’s post today regarding the Friendfeed ‘Likes’ Compatibility Index, and the resulting discussion on the possible Friendfeed gender gap, I decided to check out my own stats. I used Hutch Carpenter’s same methodology, with one addition: I added the number of stories I liked that nobody else did. Based on my last 50 stories that I’ve marked as liking, there were 213 other people who liked one or more of those stories. These are people who liked the most stories that I liked:

Hutch mentioned a gender gap in these data analyses, so here’s my data on it:

• Guy to girl ratio (all): 5 : 1.
• Guy to girl ratio (2 or more likes): 6.1 : 1.
• Guy to girl ratio (4 or more likes): 7.5 : 1.

I also took a look at my subscribed list and my subscriber list for the guy-to-girl ratio:

• Who I’m Subscribed to: 7.9 : 1.
• Who’s Subscribed to me: 7.3 : 1

Maybe these stats say more about me than anything else, but it’s interesting to note that who I’m subscribed to, who shares my interests, and who’s subscribed to me all have about the same guy-to-girl ratio. I wonder what the ratios are for other people with different interests.
